NUTRITION AND STRESS

Nutrition and stress: Have you ever considered how the food s you eat contributes to stress. We live in a world where we are overfed, yet under-nourished. There is a lot of debate going on at present about sugar. In fact governments are now taxing foods high in sugar.

Most pain and stress in our lives is caused by inflammation, of which sugar is a major culprit. Almost all packaged food has high levels of sugar, especially those that are labelled low fat. You see, when you remove the fat, the taste is diminished, so the cheap solution is to add sugar.

It’s not hard, just have a diet of fresh produce, a plant based diet that you cook yourself. The recommended daily is to have two fruits and five vegetables. Studies reveal that only four percent of the population are having this. It’s staggering isn’t it? Yet, if you ask most people they would have you believe that they eat well.

DISEASE CANNOT LIVE IN AN ALKALINE BODY

Disease cannot live in an alkaline body. This is what an 80/20 diet has. Eighty percent alkaline forming and twenty percent acid forming foods is the ideal. Most people’s diets are highly acidic. This contributes to a lot of stress and pain by increasing lactic acid.

Inflammation affects us with physical tension, our intellectual capacity is reduced and emotional states can be like a roller-coaster.

NUTRITION AND STRESS ARE BEST SERVED WITH A NON INFLAMMATORY DIET

Inflammation is one of the primary causes of poor health. Nourish your body with a low inflammatory, plant based diet and remedial stretching. Nourish your mind with meditation and mindfulness.

Start living on fresh produce, including more raw foods, eliminate sugar and as many pre-packaged foods as you can, and you notice great changes in your stress levels and pain will be reduced. And your energy levels will sky rocket.
