POSTURE CAN IMPROVE WITH TWO THINGS

Correcting posture, and two of the best things to take note of are yoga and martial arts. Now, these have many elements attached to them, but for our purposes let’s focus on the postural aspects.

What we do in our daily lives tend to be one sided actions. Sitting in a chair and crossing your legs, for instance, which you should not do. Apart from cutting off circulation, the bigger problem is that you will more often than not cross the same leg over. Which means, you twist the pelvis to one side, by doing this.

Over time, the structures become distorted, which in turn will cause pelvic problems and back pain. Even with a lot of activities we do, sports like tennis and golf, just to name two are mainly one sided.

YOGA AND MARTIAL ARTS

Yoga and martial arts are always balanced in their movements. Both sides given equal time. Because they go beyond just physical movement, they offer both strengthening and flexibility, and most of all build body awareness.

So, what if you don’t want to do yoga or martial arts? No problem. By applying the same principals of focus to your stretching, will result in improved flexibility. This is what my clinical stretching has built in.

Because, focusing on what you’re doing, you know you get a better result with less effort, which means this is important to take notice of. Just think about how well you work when you’re focused, without distractions.

When you focus, your unconscious mind takes in the information. The results are increased exponentially. And because you are not distracted, you become one with what you’re doing. This has an enormous effect on your levels of stress.

So, where to start. OK, starting with the four directional exercises, (read article), you will be well on you way to eliminating pain from your life. Most of all, It takes seven minutes.

Do these for two weeks, and most of all, see if you don’t feel better for it. Seven minutes, that’s all.

A great way to start.
